Rainbow Advocacy Introduces Voices of Solidarity: A Global Arts & Culture Experience for WorldPride 2025 and Beyond
Stories of Resilience Weaving a Tapestry of Hope and Unity
Rainbow Advocacy is introducing its new initiative, Voices of Solidarity, a global arts experience created to share stories of resilience and bring together communities through the power of creative expression.
An Official Partner Event with WorldPride 2025 worldpridedc.org in Washington, DC, this five-year interactive arts and culture initiative will celebrate the rich diversity and strength of the LGBTQ+ community, weaving a global tapestry of stories that highlight the struggles, triumphs, and unbreakable spirit of resilience.
Voices of Solidarity voicesofsolidarity.org will feature a wide array of artistic expressions — from poetry and short stories to music, short films, digital art, paintings, and photography. This worldwide, collaborative arts experience will provide a platform for voices of LGBTQ+ individuals and allies, amplifying stories of hope, courage, and unity, while reflecting the shared struggle for equality, acceptance, and love.
The initiative begins with the Voices of Solidarity 2025 Global Gatherings, alongside the 8th annual OUR PRIDE 2025 Shorts & Arts Fest.
Throughout the month of June, the program will feature the first Global Gatherings events, starting with the WorldPride Gathering (June 1-9), an official partner event with WorldPride 2025 being held in Washington, DC.
Following this, the EuroPride Gathering will coincide with EuroPride events in Lisbon, Portugal (June 14-21), and the month will conclude with a youth-focused Gathering (June 22-30).
These virtual events and community networking programs feature online community gathering spaces and networking opportunities designed to foster relationship building, new alliances, and inspiration transcending borders, with participants gathering from every continent.
In partnership with the Charter for Compassion charterforcompassion.org, the Gatherings serve as a platform for sharing missions, insights, and actionable ideas to foster a more compassionate and equitable world.
The 2025 Global Gatherings is a FREE virtual event held in conjunction with the OUR PRIDE Shorts & Arts Festival, offering 40 days of access to over 170 short films (50+ viewing hours) from more than 25 countries. Films are available worldwide on Roku, AppleTV, Google & Apple apps through eoFlix.
An All Access Pass for the festival is available for $15.

Spirituality & Activism
The project also honors the 60th anniversary of the spiritual movement in 1968 led by human rights activist Rev. Troy D. Perry, who established the first LGBTQ+ Christian congregation. This will be commemorated as a key part of the Voices of Solidarity journey, reinforcing the intersection of spirituality and activism in the fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
Empowering the Next Generation of Creators
Through collaboration with KQED Public Media in San Francisco and its educational programs, Voices of Solidarity will provide an opportunity for young people to participate by sharing their stories through audio, video, and images through a Youth Media Challenge. Students from around the world will be invited to engage in project-based learning, telling their personal stories of resilience, coming out, and self-discovery.
Additionally, the OUR PRIDE EDU program will support educators by offering tools and resources to help students gain confidence in creating digital media. These resources will be made available through self-paced online courses, workshops, and PBS Media Literacy Educator Certification.
Join Us in Celebrating Resilience and Unity
Voices of Solidarity invites all individuals — artists, activists, educators, and allies — to join this global movement of empowerment and storytelling to build a brighter future for LGBTQ+ communities around the world.
